confirmed. see the clips from ms's e3 press conference. there's another cinematic coming out soon that's even better.
in my opinion, that's the really exciting thing about it. the game is the same, but the art direction and animation go way beyond anything i've seen in other rhythm games as far evoking the actual aesthetic and experience of the band and the music. props to harmonix.
(disclaimer, i hung out with a friend of mine this past weekend who worked on the game, so i'm probably biased. :P)
