Yesterday, Apple released:
- the first iMac I've ever actually wanted, super slim with an aluminum case and glass screen, including a 24" monitor 4GB RAM 1TB disk configuration
- a slim Bluetooth keyboard that omits the 10-key number pad, an ergonomic hazard that's otherwise difficult to avoid (and I love 10-keys, just detached)
- an all-new all-better version of iMovie
- a new spreadsheet application that fixes a fundamental paradigm problem with all other spreadsheet applications based on how spreadsheets are actually used: as documents that contain multiple elements, not just giant tables
- a photo sharing service as part of .Mac that lets you post directly from the iPhone
- and major feature upgrades for the other iLife and iWork applications
Full multimedia funness at Apple's web site. As with the iPhone, they've produced some iWork help materials that also serve as feature demos. Also an iLife guided tour video. I love Apple's newfound commitment to multimedia on their web site.
Those new iMacs look ace, I cant wait to get a new one to replace my current one. Great site.
