Redfin Sweet Digs, one of the best ideas to come to house hunting in a long time, "will no longer publish eyewitness property reviews because of a local MLS rule that deems them an advertisement of another brokers' listing."

Speaking as a current potential buyer and seller, I admit to mixed feelings about the _Sweet Digs_ feature on Redfin. A person's response to a house/home is extremely subjective. I learned this recently after my partner and I had actually made an offer on a house I felt was utterly charming. Turns out he found it boring, but was going along to please me. If my partner and I, who know each other fairly well, differ that much in evaluating the appeal of a house, why should I trust the opinion of a perfect stranger? And, God fodbid someone should dis my house once it's on the market. I think I have to agree with the decision on this. It's one thing to apply a set of criteria in a standardized way to houses--that's what market analyses are for--and quite another for somebody to go off on their own idea of what's lame and what's cool.
