No one belongs here more than you. I don't know who this person is and I'm going to buy her book. (Thanks John.)

You really do know who she is, right? Miranda July is a brilliant multi-media artist. Although she lives in L.A. now, until recently she was a Portland girl. Her film, You and Me and Everone We Know, was the opener at the Seattle International Film Festival last year. Miranda is an inspiration to the many quirky, indie artists that make art because they can't help it. Her film is set in Portland and, to some degree, involves the Portland Arts commity and the difficulty of getting funding. Makes it all the more fun for Northwest types who recognize much of this as familar.

Thanks for posting this. Almost more belly laughs than I can handle this early in the morning.
