Reminds me of Syme in 1984. Newspeak aims to reduce the number of words in the language. In fact, very few words in natural language are truly synonymous. 'Pusillanimous', for example, does not mean exactly 'cowardly'.

I love PA words. Our rich and beautiful language is shrinking at an alarming rate, as is any consideration for grammar or punctuation. PA words are generally those with subtle, nuanced meanings that do, in fact, differ from their synonyms. I respect and appreciate writers who occasionally, but not too often, throw in a word that is worth looking up. I'm going to enjoy this site.
