Deconstructing these kinds of statements from industry folk both helps to expose a hidden agenda and helps to clarify some important points that are difficult to understand (which industry folk would like to confuse in the minds of Congresspersons). It could very well be that Valenti doesn't understand the basic rights the CBTDPA encroaches upon, because the issues are genuinely complicated.
