Very cool article Dan! Once again proof that it is easy to develop any old web site, but very difficult to develop a web site capable of handling large loads in a recoverable, fail-over, environment.
In my mind this is why more companies should hire an architect (like myself, of course) and then strictly enforce development of the resulting design.
