Check the Worldwide Box Office to see if your favorite big budget film broken even. Clicking on the movie title takes you to the corresponding IMDb "business data" page, including budget info. The query interface on top lets you sort by type of gross, range by date and search by title.

This is really amazing. I was astonished to see how films from the 90s completely dominate the rankings. On the other hand, could this be an artifact of inflation? I'd be interested to see that same data, with inflation adjustments. This is difficult though, because income comes in over time, so it wouldn't be a simple adjustment. But even an adjustment that assumed all the income was in the year of release would be a useful guide.
